The Innkeeper
Jeanna Stavas, innkeeper and your hostess, was looking for a way to return “home” to her mid-western roots. Having been away for almost 20 years spent in Arizona and Texas, she went on a search to find a way to use her passion for cooking and entertaining and her gift of hospitality. In August 2005, she took that step of faith and left Austin, Texas and her corporate technology role, returned to the mid-west and bought Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast.
The past few years, Jeanna has traveled extensively worldwide and gained an understanding of quality accommodations. Prior to her time in the business world, Jeanna spent nine years in the hospitality industry. She believes in customer service and her experience and knowledge will ensure that your stay at Whispering Pines is pleasant and memorable.
Jeanna loves people and building relationships and she welcomes you to visit her home. Many will come a stranger and leave a friend.
“My mission is to provide you accommodations and breakfast in a memorable atmosphere where you can experience renewal, relaxation and unexpected extras.” - Jeanna Stavas
Jeanna is a member of Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII), Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce (NCTC) and is President of Nebraska Bed & Breakfasts Association; she is also involved in a number of local area activities including NCTC Promotions and Development.
