The Arbor adds modern touches to our Victorian home with a king size iron bed and private bath. This extra large room provides a daybed for relaxing in comfort or accommodating a third guest.
Rich color tones and natural textures bring together our Nebraska City Arbor themes of trees, orchards, and wines. An antique library table serves as your desk and we’ve upcycled apple crates from the nearby orchard for nightstands. Bird watchers and tree huggers alike can enjoy the hot tub, wrap-around porch plus our 6 acres of grounds featuring 100 year old pine trees.
You’ll find an exposed limestone foundation wall along the stairway to the room and a wooden support post in the middle of this downstairs room, both typical in Victorian Era construction. They add a little character to the room and better yet, are holding up this old house.
The private bath has a walk-in glass shower and tile floors, again combining a mix of modern with natural elements; we even use branches from our grounds as towel hangers.
Other modern comforts include WiFi, TV with cable, and a mini-fridge with water. The sitting area is enhanced with an electric fireplace that can be used for warmth or added ambiance. A full egress window is available should you want fresh air and also meets building code requirements.
