In addition to just being a great venue for small groups to gather, we’ve got a few activities available here on-site, but have also partnered with local business to offer you on or off-site team building activities as well.
Hosted by Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast
We offer an array of cooking classes onsite for groups and team building. Some of the favorites with groups are: Sushi, Pasta, Grilled Pizza and Thai Spring Rolls. Visit our cooking class page to view all of our classes. Group classes can be adjusted in duration and cost to meet your activity needs and budget.
Murder Mystery Dinner
Parties can be Murder! Do you have a group of friends and want to enjoy an evening of good fun, tasty food and a little mystery? A typical Murder Mystery Dinner has at least 8 characters/guests; some mysteries can accommodate additional guests. Choose from a multitude of themes. Guests can choose to dress up to fit the theme and their character (not required).
We’ve got the perfect activity for teams: hunt for clues and treasures that will take you on a fun tour of historic Nebraska City or one that keeps you right here at Whispering Pines B&B, too.
Group painting class
Multiple options available with different local artists based on class size and availability. Make and take, or choose from a seasonally themed or personal door hanger or one of the local artist’s personal paintings.
Take the ultimate team building test by creating a collaborative acrylic painting with family, friends or co-workers with an instructor that will make the most fearful feel comfortable picking up a paint brush. Up to 10 participants work together to make a single masterpiece on a canvas while learning about color, composition, and basic painting techniques. Participants encouraged to bring images and ideas to help decide on colors to be used and subject matter to be painted. Finished works are typically abstract and expressionistic in nature. Paintings should be left to dry overnight before transportation. Pricing varies for different canvas sizes and workshop duration.
Tour a Working Farm
Want to see some cows and a combine? Take a trip to a local nearby farm for a personal tour of a cattle operation and see the equipment of the season. Tours for 2 – 8 people. Inquire on pricing. Tour duration: 1 – 2 hours. 3 days advance notice required.
