When we decided we were going to accept pets here at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast, we knew we’d need to provide the pups a nice little treat, just like we do the people guests. These treats are loved by many of our furry visitors and they become our quick friend knowing we have these.
These are our homemade dog treats that we provide for our visiting pups!
- 2 cups whole-wheat flour
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup fresh apples minced
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries minced
Preheat oven to 350
Mix together the flour and oatmeal
stir the milk into the flour mixture
Add minced apples and cranberries
Place dough on floured counter and roll out, about 1/2 inc/2.5 cm thick
Cut into shapes with desired cookie cutter or mold into rounds, and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 25 - 35 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown and firm.
Store in refrigerator or freezer
