Letter Writing: A Lost Art

When was the last time you got a letter—a real letter—that you knew you’d keep in a safe place? Whether it’s to pass along advice to your children as they grow, or to reconnect a friendship, a handwritten letter is satisfying in a way that email and text will never be. Heartfelt correspondence is truly a gift that keeps on giving. We’ll interweave the philosophical with the personal, take inspiration from both writer and recipient perspectives, and practice with writing prompts.

You are encouraged to bring pen and paper (rather than a laptop) and any letters you might be thinking of replying to or ideas already in the works. Starting from scratch? Not a problem! All you need is a pen and paper.

For writers at all levels, including first-timers.
